孟庆山,男,1974年1月生,博士,研究员,博士生导师,湖北省杰青。长期从事珊瑚岛礁工程地质与力学特性方面研究工作。在岛礁形态与地层结构认知、礁砂地基加固技术和效果评价、海水拌养礁砂混凝土服役性能提升、礁灰岩损伤机制与工程利用等方面取得创新性成果,为南海岛礁工程建设作出重要贡献。

兼任中国岩石力学工程学会海洋工程地质灾害防控分会常务理事、中国土木工程学会土力学及岩土工程分会地基处理专业委员会委员、湖北省土木建筑学会副理事长、湖北省土木建筑学会土工基础专业委员主任委员、武汉土木建筑学会副理事长、武汉岩土工程学会常务理事;《岩土力学》和《土工基础》编委。
主持国家自然科学基金项目4项、中国科学院战略性先导科技专项(A类)课题1项、岩土力学与工程国家重点实验室仪器设备研制专项1项、交通部西部交通建设科技项目2项、湖北省杰青项目与面上项目各1项、军工项目多项。核心参与国家自然科学基金重点项目2项、科技基础性工作专项、国家“973”课题、国家科技支撑计划重点项目课题各1项,以及重大工程应用科研课题10余项。
